Platinum is a record I sat down to many many days during my childhood, and it is one of my 3 "desert island" records along with "Pyramid" from The Alan Parsons Project and "Moonflower" by Santana. I've fantasized with recording the complete Platinum suite since then (and I'm 43 now :) )

On the recording itself, it's a PC running Nuendo with Native Instruments' Komplete 8 and several freeware plugin synths such as the Superwave P8.

I have tried my best to reproduce the original, although yes the horns and the "choir" are lame and my playing is far away from Mike's..........plus I used a pick .
