It's a Mike Oldfield fan music project. It's a final selection of Oldfield-inspired tracks from mike-oldfield.es users. Do you want to join the pre-selection?

Some users of the site were picked up in a general survey to become the "jury" - they (well, we, as I'm included) will pick up a final tracklist for the CD among all the songs submitted by the users. Once the tracklist will be selected and the artwork too, a free digital-only mp3/flac compilation will be released as Satélite Oldfield III.

Terms & conditions can be found here, but I can do a fast translation:

Satélite Oldfield vol III terms &conditions:



  • All submitted works must be ORIGINALS. The forum user must be the author of the track and therefore the owner of its rights.

  • Songs should be written specially for the project or being yet unreleased. 

  • Up to 2 songs per user can be submitted.

  • The length of the tracks should be no shorter than 2 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes.

  • Tracks will be submitted in mp3 to sateliteoldfield@gmail.com



The final selection will be decided by a 5-person jury (chosen by the forum users). A 2CD compilation can be released too if the jury so it decides.


  • Once a song will be selected, the author will upload it again in WAV format.

  • Each author has to apply on his/her own any legal/copyright issue on local authorities (ie SGAE, BPI, RIAA)

  • Deadline: July 31st 2007.
