all I can say is that the measures correspond to the real size of the image. For example, the front is of 12x24 cm at 300dpi. Because my job, I work with photoshop, and if I open the pdf with photoshop, you can clearly see that the measures match perfectly. Maybe, at the moment that your computer is opening the PDF, you display a large preview of the file given the weight, but if you take it to a printer place (or a place to make photocopies) you'll see how they have no problems with it. My apologize, but I can't give you more information, because I work almost exclusively with photoshop...
